The value of a “follower” on TikTok just isn’t the same as Instagram- given the way both platforms are structured and how the algorithm serves up content!

And NO! Follower count isn’t the only way to come up with your rate (but it does play an important part)

👉🏻 100K followers on IG is NOT the same as 100K followers on TikTok! (Don’t hate me! 😂🙈)

No joke- TikTok users can explode overnight, reaching 100K followers in a month or less, whereas Instagram growth takes considerably longer.

But remember, a quick following doesn’t necessarily mean TRUST is built with the audience – and that’s what brands pay for, right? YOUR AUDIENCE’S TRUST!!

Don’t be discouraged, though! If you skyrocketed on TikTok, trust will catch up with time 😊. The TikTok algorithm often shows content to strangers before your core community, which affects trust-building.

That’s why brands usually pay more on Instagram for the same number of followers as TikTok.

Think of it this way: It’s like 1 million TikTok followers equals the 100K version on IG. 🤷🏼‍♀️
